En 1823, Claire de Duras publiait anonymement « Ourika », un roman racontant la vie et la mort d’une jeune sénégalaise arrachée à son pays et ramenée en France pour y recevoir une éducation aristocratique. Deux siècles plus tard, la comédienne Marie Plateau et la metteur en scène Elizabeth Tamaris décident d’adapter ce roman au théâtre.
