D’après la légende,
L’emplacement de la ville de Bagdad, est loin d’être anodine.
Puisque selon les Abbassides,
Soucieux d’installer leur pouvoir,
Le prophète Muhammad lui-même en aurait désigné l’emplacement
« Un air pur, une terre très fertile, des ressources abondantes
Et des températures parfaites »
N’en prédestinaient-elles pas l’installation.
D’ailleurs en persan, « bâgh » ne désigne-t-il pas un « jardin »
« Baghdalth », signifiant « Dieu donné »
Un autre surnom de Bagdad, est la « Cité de la Paix…
